COMMON MISTAKES
TO BE AVOIDED IN GYM WHILE TRAINING:
People
who go to train in gym regularly may not find results as they expect. This is
due to some small and important mistakes we do in gym while training.
Here I have listed some of mistakes which are
to be rectified by trainers.
Make
sure you don’t make these mistakes hereafter.
MISTAKES TO BE
AVOIDED:
Given
below are some of usually done mistakes in gym which must be rectified for
better results.
1. Skipping the
warm-up and stretching.
Always
start with a quick warm-up before you train. It will increase your blood flow
before you start doing heavy workouts. Warm-ups like lunges, push-ups, squads,
jumping jacks will increase your heart rate which will be useful in doing core
exercises. If the muscles are not warmed up properly it may lead to muscle
pulls in your body. so it is a essential
part of exercise.
Stretching
helps in increasing the flexibility in your muscles. So never avoid your
warm-up sections. This is a mistake which may be harmful to your body.
2.
Doing cardio before lifting session.
I
suggest you to better do your lifting session first and then go into the
cardio.
Doing
cardio before lifting may drain your energy and while lifting heavy which leads
to potential injury. Doing excessive cardio will reduce your muscle mass
instead focus more on weight training to get a bigger muscle tone. Cardio
requires maximum performance on muscles which will show a poor performance in
your lifting workouts. Cardio is good but must done at good time rather than
decreasing your energy.
3. Repetitive
routines.
Repeating
the same routine exercises for months will make you feel bored. You should
change your routine by alternating the workouts and by alternating the sets,
reps etc. Following the same routine for months makes your body adapt to a
level and will fail to show improvements. Use a workout log and see what works
best for you. Challenge yourself to gain better results.
4. Too
intensive workouts.
This is a common mistake everybody will do
when going to gym. Excitement to build your body makes you do more workouts and
lift heavy. Its not going to help instead will lead to muscle soreness. Going
to next level before you are comfortable with the basics is a failure. Knowing your
body limits is the important thing for exercising. Train as per the schedule
provided by the trainer and see the results. Moderate and correct method of
workout is much more efficient.
5. Not drinking
enough water.
Avoid
the laziness to carry a water bottle with you. During workouts you may feel
thirsty and may head towards water to drink in gym often may waste your time.
Don’t wait till you are thirsty. Exercise causes dehydration in our body which
we should not allow. Its better to carry a water bottle with you always when
heading to gym.
6. Not getting
enough sleep.
For
a better muscle growth sufficient sleep for at least 7 hours a day is required.
Reducing your sleeping time reduces your hormone levels and will show reduced
impact on performance. Skipping your sleep and hurrying to gym early morning is
not going to help. So get enough sleep everyday and start your workouts fresh.
